About The Journey

After retiring from a long and satisfying career I decided to try and transition from a "wanna be" musician to "gonna be" musician. Along the way I have met and jammed with many talented and wonderful people primarily in my home base of Victoria BC. I had the pleasure of being taught by exceptional people such as local artists  Ken Hall and Avram Mccagherty. I even enjoyed a week long camp with Tommy Emmanuel which one attendee likened to trying to drink from a fire hose. I started out attending open mic venues in 2017 at local pubs and other venues. I found a very supportive and friendly environment everywhere I went, in particular from Carla Olive, a superb musician, performer and an even better human being. I  have had the opportunity to play in Montreal and several Ontario locations.

I have focused on acoustic music with a bit of Jazz, Gypsy and Roots.

I only perform one song written in the 21st century so the vast majority of instrumentals and vocals are easily recognized.

If your venue wishes to have a quiet subtle instrumental background musical format that is  something I am happy to provide.

For a different format a duo can be arranged with a superb female vocalist, my good friend Josie Flick, who has had many years of professional performance experience in Jazz Pop and Blues
